The Catholic University of America's Center for the Advancement of Children, Youth, and Families, based at NCSSS (National Catholic School of Social Service), consists of NCSSS faculty members and doctoral students with expertise in children, youth, and families.
Specific areas include: children's health, mental health, developmental disabilities, school social work and early childhood education, child welfare, and family strengths and supports.

Mission of the Center
The mission of the National Catholic School of Social Service (NCSSS) Center for the Advancement of Children, Youth, and Families is to strengthen social services that support the quality of life, safety, and well-being of children, youth, and their families within their own communities. The Center carries out this mission through research, education, technical assistance, and training.
