Ms. Worrell joined NCSSS as the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid in 2008. She chaired the Combined (clinical and social change) concentration in the MSW program from 2009 to 2015, and from 2018 to the present . Ms. Worrell taught the integrative seminars for advanced year students in the combined concentration and served as liaison to the field agencies. At the graduate level, she has taught Evaluation of Social Work Programs. She became the Business Manager for the school in 2015.
Ms. Worrell’s professional practice focused on program management and evaluation. She has directed federally funded programs to provide prevention and intervention services to at-risk adolescent girls, to assist state education agencies in reducing high school dropout rates, and to provide support for reviews of state child welfare services. She also served as the Director of Operations for an alliance of national organizations concerned with the unmet needs of family caregivers. Previously, Ms. Worrell conducted evaluations of federally and foundation-funded programs in the areas of rural domestic violence, youth development and violence prevention, children's mental health, and coalition building. Her prior clinical social work experience was in foster care and residential substance abuse treatment.
