Reagan Budasi, Catholic '26, is a Social Work major from Mangilao, Guam. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the National Catholic School of Social Service, and what advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University?

"I chose Catholic University for the National Catholic School of Social Service! When I first read about the NCSSS, it looked like they had an amazing curriculum and a great faculty full of highly experienced and intelligent professors. I was also excited by the opportunities the school offered, such as the 4+1 MSW program, and I loved the thought of starting my social work career in the nation's capital. Having been here for a year and a half, I can confidently say that my expectations were met, and I am super excited to continue my journey here at Catholic University with the NCSSS!"

Why do you want to be a social worker?

"I have always felt inclined to serve my community, and I just know that I want a career where that is the entire mission."

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"I really love the community! I have loved getting to know other students through my program, classes, residence halls, and extracurricular activities. There are so many opportunities for connection at Catholic University."

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and excel! Give everything your all and don't hold yourself back. You got this!"
