10:00 a.m. - CUA Annual Commencement
East Steps of the Basilica

11:45 a.m. - NCSSS Diploma Ceremony
Ceremonial Tent by Shahan Hall

The annual commencement ceremony will take place on May 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. on the East Steps of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Graduates may invite as many friends and family members as they like since tickets are not required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony itself begins at 10 a.m., however, the academic procession begins at 9:30 a.m., so please encourage your quests to be seated prior to that time. Guests with disabilities should contact Disability Support Services at least two weeks prior to Commencement to arrange for accommodations.

Students will line up by school (NCSSS) and program (BSW, MSW, and PhD) outside of McMahon Hall beginning at 9 a.m. to form the lines for the procession. Signs and volunteers will be available to assist you.

Immediately following the University Commencement ceremony, students will gather on the steps of Shahan Hall for our annual class photo. After the photo, students will line up alphabetically by program (BSW, MSW, PhD) in back of the ceremonial tent next to Shahan Hall in preparation for the procession.
