The NCSSS Office of Field Education hosted its annual Field Fair on January 27, 2026.  Despite occurring virtually due to weather related concerns, the Field Office welcomed more than 20 agency partners from across the Washington, DC region to a panel and a valuable opportunity for current students and soon-to-be graduates alike to engage directly with community organizations and learn about field placement, internship, and employment opportunities available to them upon graduation.

This event, hosted by Frank Gaetani, LCSW, Director of Field Education, is an integral part of what makes field education so valuable at NCSSS.  “It is very important that students are well connected with our various partners,” Gaetani said.  “Social work encompasses so many roles, organizations, and settings, so an event like this is central to my office’s commitment to connecting students with meaningful real-world experiences and setting them up for success.”

With a wide range of agencies represented, spanning mental health, child welfare, health care, housing, and more, students were able to explore the breadth of social work practice settings and begin building the professional relationships that will shape their careers.
